Possible Sources of Funding
Your Local Church
Often an overlooked source of financial aid is your local neighborhood church. Quite often churches will raise funds to help their parishioners or people in their community who are in need of financial assistance in regards to mobility equipment.
As each particular denomination is different on how they handle such requests it would not be a bad idea to try different denominational churches to see what programs, if any, that they currently have available for the elderly or physically challenged individuals in your particular neighborhood and community.
If you find that a church does not currently have a program in existence you may always ask what it would require to start a program to assist you and others like yourself in your area as well as that church members.
Keep in mind that churches must always meet their expenses to operate and it might help your cause to volunteer your services at the church in order to provide the church and its members a feeling that you are willing to help them as they help you.
