GEOS 5326 Remote Sensing Digital Image Processing (3 semester hours) Techniques of digital image processing for a variety of remote sensing data sets and their applications for environmental and geoscientific issues. Extraction of statistical data from remote sensing imagery, radiometric and geometric correction, image enhancement and classification, and techniques for utilizing digital remote sensing data for change detection of the earth surface. Use of different image processing software to manipulate digital remote sensing data and extract thematic information. Introduction to Remote Sensing (GEOS 5325) is a prerequisite for this course.
